General Information:

  1. Deadline for submission of abstracts is July 31, 2004. Abstracts received after the closing deadline will not be considered.
  2. Abstracts are subject to approval by the Review Committee. Notification of acceptance as an oral or poster presentation will be made via e-mail before September 1st, 2004.
  3. Authors are required to select up to 2 (in priority sequence) out of the 12 topics of sessions that best reflect the theme of their abstracts.
  4. Poster presenter will have a board measuring 100 cm wide & 200 cm high.
  5. Author ‘s full name, email, and affiliation should be included in the abstract. Besides, please notify the oral presentation session or demo/poster session you are going to attend.

Writing Instruction:

  1. The abstract should inclue: objective (Purpose), a brief statement of methods (Methods), a summary of results obtained (Result), and a statement of the conclusions (Conclusions).
  2. Tables, graphs, and photographs may not be accepted for the abstract.
  3. At the end of each paragraph, please press "Enter" button for the next paragraph input, but no "Enter" pressed within a paragraph.

Abstract Format:

  1. Typed in English only. Use Time New Roman for all text. 12 pt boldface lettering for the title (center and capitalize) and 10 pt normal font for main text.
  2. Begin on a new line, authors and the full affiliation should be centered (use a comma [,] to separate author and affiliation.) Do not include titles (such as Dr., Prof., PhD, etc.)
  3. E-mail address of the presenting author should be provided, begin on a new line.
  4. Use 10 pt normal font for author and affiliation’s names, indicating presenting author with a superscript [*].
  5. Do not indent paragraph. Type the text (including any tables) in single-line spacing.
  6. Please adjust abstract within 250 to 300 words.
  7. Format of abstract:
    I. Top: 2.54 cm   Left: 2.54 cm
       Bottom: 2.54 cm   Right: 2.54 cm
       From edge: Header: 1.5 cm   Footer: 1.75 cm

    II. Character number in one line: 34
        Line number in one page: 38
        Distance between two words: 12 pt
        Distance between two lines: 18 pt
        Line Spacing: Single
        Font: Times New Roman
        Word Size: 12 (for title)
                         10 (for author’s name/affiliation and main text)

IMPORTANT: Your abstract will appear in the Abstract Book as submitted. Proofread it carefully.
