Abstract

Geographical Information(GI) is one of basic input information for National Development planing, management and monitoring in natural resources, environment, urbanization and infrastructure.  To speed up country development in National productivity and better living environment, public and private sectors have to have better planning, management and monitoring tools.  These tools could be obtainable if the following barriers could be overcome:

Lack of Digital Base Map in any format: vector, raster,

Lack of Geographical Information for Public and Private Sectors,

Lack of On-line Geographical Information System, and

Lack of Clearing House system for Geographical Information.

Size of Geographical Information is huge, much more than Tera-bytes, GIS itself cannot manage and maintain this, new system software for spatial data management will be proposed, and this system would be able to run as Geographical Information Internet Server.

Geographical Information Clearing House will be great help in established necessity elements to gather all the National Geographical Information.
