Dear PNC Members and Friends: Itˇ¦s our pleasure to announce that the PNC 2008 Annual Conference in Conjunction with ECAI (Electronic Cultural Atlas Initiative) and JVGC (Japan-Vietnam Geoinfomatics Consortium) will be held in Ta Quang Buu Library, Hanoi University of Technology, Ha Noi, Vietnam from December 4 to 6, 2008. The main theme for this year is ˇ§Information Technology for a Sustainable and Creative Humanosphereˇ¨.

The PNC Annual Conference always focuses on the merging of culture and information technology, and features a world-class assortment of digital content presentations. This year PNC will offer its perspective and expertise on the issues of Cultural Atlases, GIS, Humanity GIS, Digital Archives/Collections, Digital Libraries, Digital Museum, Digitalized procedure, e-Culture, e-Learning, e-Publishing, e-Resource, e-Science and Metadata. The session format on the PNC 2008 Annual Conference and Joint Meetings consists of oral presentation and poster demonstration.

We expect to share techniques and experiences among colleagues via active mutual communication. Therefore, librarians, scholars, museum professionals, educators, site managers, and those working with cultural materials and technology are welcome to join this conference and the activities of Call for Sessions, Call for Papers and Call for Posters.
